Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.23%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Thursday.
Shares of Sobha Ltd.(up 5.07 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 4.28 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 2.83 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 2.37 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(up 0.99 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 1.36 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.26 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.23 per cent up at 660.6.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 48.2 points at 19395.3, while the BSE Sensex stood down 143.41 points at 64832.2.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 ended in the green, while 29 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, JP Power, Reliance Power, Vodafone Idea and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of IndiaPowerCorp, AMJ Land Holdings, GeeCee Ventures, KPI Global Infra and Acrysil hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while HP Adhesives, Compuage Infocom, Shree Ram Proteins, Lords Chloro and Winsome Yarns hit their fresh 52-week lows.
