Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.19%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.

Shares of SOBHA(up 10.08 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 2.66 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 2.09 per cent), DLF(up 1.59 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 1.4 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 0.06 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.05 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 1.19 per cent up at 541.35.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 97.7 points at 19778.3, while the BSE Sensex stood up 351.49 points at 66707.2.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 ended in the green, while 17 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, PNB, YES Bank, Indian Railway Fin and Reliance Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Jain Irrigation(DVR), Indo Borax Chem, IRIS Business Servic, Remsons Ind and MSP Steel hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Orient Bell, Sadhana Nitro, Synoptics Technologi, KKV Agro Powers Ltd. and Viji Finance hit their fresh 52-week lows.
