Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.02%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.

Shares of Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 7.9 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 4.95 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 3.68 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 3.62 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 2.17 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, DLF Ltd.(down 1.6 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.04 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 1.02 per cent up at 965.0.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 17.3 points at 22200.55, while the BSE Sensex stood down 117.58 points at 72987.03.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 ended in the green, while 27 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, Canara Bank and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Kirloskar Bros., Kirloskar Pneumatic, ABB Power, D-Link(India)and Associated Alch hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Butterfly Gandhi, Future Supply Chain, GSS Infotech, Mask Investments and GIR Natureview hit their fresh 52-week lows.
