Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.98%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Tuesday.
Shares of DLF(up 2.52 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 2.11 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 1.9 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.84 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(up 0.49 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 0.5 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 0.21 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.98 per cent up at 455.4.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 103.3 points at 17325.3, while the BSE Sensex stood up 350.16 points at 57943.65.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 ended in the green, while 15 closed in the red.
Shares of Adani Power, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd. and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Indo Borax Chem, Swelect Energy, Shigan Quantum Technologies Ltd., Madras Fert and Shree Ram Proteins hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Akash Infra-Proj, Rollatainers Ltd, CMI Ltd, JBF Industries and Future Consumer hit their fresh 52-week lows.
