Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.98%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.

Shares of Raymond Ltd.(up 5.16 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 3.06 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 2.6 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 2.11 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 1.67 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 0.98 per cent up at 862.75.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 159.75 points at 23350.4, while the BSE Sensex stood up 557.45 points at 76905.51.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 ended in the green, while 12 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Ola Electric Mobilit, Manappuram Finance, Zomato and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of AGI Infra Ltd., ITC Hotels, Manappuram Finance, CarTrade Tech and AXISCADES Engg Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while AGS Transact Tech, Kesoram Inds., Prabha Energy, Tijaria Polypipes and Nexus Select Trust REIT hit their fresh 52-week lows.
