Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.95%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Thursday.

Shares of Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 2.03 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 1.85 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.53 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 1.13 per cent) and Swan Energy Ltd.(up 0.8 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Sobha Ltd.(down 1.29 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.42 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 0.95 per cent up at 777.4.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 123.95 points at 21778.7, while the BSE Sensex stood up 371.95 points at 72410.38.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 ended in the green, while 12 closed in the red.

Shares of HUDCO, PNB, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Aarti Surfactants(PP), SecMark Consultancy, Lagnam Spintex, Hind Copper and Bhagyanagar Ind hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Akshar Spintex, Bajel Projects, Motisons Jewellers, Vaxtex Cotfab and Muthoot Microfin hit their fresh 52-week lows.
