Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.94%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 3.77 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 2.76 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 1.55 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(up 1.5 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 0.62 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, DLF Ltd.(down 0.16 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.13 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(down 0.02 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.94 per cent up at 563.65.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 181.5 points at 19435.3, while the BSE Sensex stood up 555.75 points at 65387.16.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 ended in the green, while 9 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Railway Fin, Suzlon Energy and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Integrated Personnel, Pokarna Ltd, Rossell India, Railtel Corp and HLV Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while GNA Axles, Penta Gold, Sanco Industries, FutureLifestyleFash and Orient Bell hit their fresh 52-week lows.
