Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.93%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of Godrej Properties(up 3.26 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 1.41 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 1.12 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 1.06 per cent) and DLF(up 1.03 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 2.27 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.15 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.82 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.93 per cent up at 450.95.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 228.65 points at 17158.25, while the BSE Sensex stood up 712.46 points at 57570.25.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 ended in the green, while 8 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Zomato Ltd., Tata Steel, Suzlon Energy and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Speciality Rest, Sree Rayalaseema, Lotus Eye Hosp, Cool Caps Industries Ltd. and Beardsell Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Bajaj Hindusthan Su, Aakash Exploration, DRC Systems India Ltd., IMP Powers Ltd and Karda Const hit their fresh 52-week lows.
