Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.88%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Thursday.
Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 5.35 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 1.66 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 1.45 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 1.14 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.2 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.72 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.78 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.07 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.02 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.88 per cent up at 1035.7.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 470.46 points at 25388.9, while the BSE Sensex stood up 1439.55 points at 82962.71.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 50 ended in the green, while 0 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Zomato, YES Bank and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Premier Poly, Archidply Decor, Shiva Texyarn, Suraj Ltd and Servotech Power Syst hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Stampede Cap(DVR), Future Supply Chain, Filatex Fashions, Arman Financial and Gala Precision Engin hit their fresh 52-week lows.
