Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.88%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Tuesday.

Shares of Sobha Ltd.(up 4.28 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 2.09 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 2.05 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 1.97 per cent) and Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 1.95 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 0.88 per cent up at 1038.75.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 104.7 points at 25041.1, while the BSE Sensex stood up 361.75 points at 81921.29.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 ended in the green, while 17 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Zomato and Jio Financial Services were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Shekhawati Poly, Prism Johnson, Pasupati Acrylon, Meghmani Finechem and Sumitomo Chemical hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Stampede Cap(DVR), Raymond Lifestyle L, Baazar Style Retail, Suumaya Lifestyle and PowerGrid Infa InvIT hit their fresh 52-week lows.
