Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.81%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Thursday.
Shares of Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 4.98 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 1.46 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 1.02 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 0.09 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 0.05 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 2.77 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.71 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.81 per cent up at 846.15.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 13.85 points at 23031.4, while the BSE Sensex stood down 32.11 points at 76138.97.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 25 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Steel, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Redington, Muthoot Finance, Dr. Agarwals Health, SBI Card and Norben Tea Exp hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Albert David, Swelect Energy, Kavita Fabrics, W S Industries and Balaxi Pharma hit their fresh 52-week lows.
