Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.77%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Monday.
Shares of Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 8.32 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 3.93 per cent), DLF(up 0.95 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 0.85 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 0.2 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.23 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 1.06 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.89 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 0.35 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.77 per cent up at 476.2.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 99.3 points at 18598.65, while the BSE Sensex stood up 344.69 points at 62846.38.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 ended in the green, while 15 closed in the red.
Shares of Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Centum Elec, Nucleus Soft, Hind Rectifiers, NDR Auto Components and Mallcom(India)hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sanwaria Consumer, Shekhawati Poly, Gammon Infra, Lagnam Spintex and Pritish Nandy hit their fresh 52-week lows.
