Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.74%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Monday.
Shares of Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 5.82 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 2.67 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 2.08 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 2.04 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(up 1.12 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 3.86 per cent) and Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.86 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.74 per cent up at 933.1.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 189.41 points at 22336.4, while the BSE Sensex stood up 560.29 points at 73648.62.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 44 ended in the green, while 6 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Renewable, Jio Financial Servic and South Indian Bnk were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Hindustan Motor, Premier Exp, Lloyds Steels, Skipper Ltd(PP)and Kalyani Invst hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while MEP Infrastructure, CMI Ltd, Sumeet Ind, Sheela Foam and GIR Natureview hit their fresh 52-week lows.
