Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.73%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.

Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(up 3.14 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 2.77 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 1.61 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 1.06 per cent) and Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 0.72 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.1 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.78 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.28 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 0.73 per cent up at 576.0.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 51.75 points at 19716.45, while the BSE Sensex stood up 173.22 points at 66118.69.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 ended in the green, while 19 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, IFCI, YES Bank, JP Power and Ujjivan SFB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Bedmutha Ind, Mohit Inds, Shreyas Ship, Gravita India and Senco Gold hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vedanta, Madhusudan Masala, Chavda Infra, Nuvama Wealth Manage and Jiwanram Sheoduttrai hit their fresh 52-week lows.
