Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.73% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 09:59AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.
Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 2.57 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 1.12 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 0.74 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 0.55 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.37 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 2.09 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 0.42 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was up 0.73 per cent at 783.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 47.3 points at 21731.4, while the BSE Sensex was down 170.12 points at 72240.26.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Alok Industries, Reliance Power, YES Bank and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Integra Garment, BAG Films, Bharat Road Net, Sandesh Ltd and AXISCADES Engineeri hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Stampede Cap(DVR), Raj Rayon, NBI Industrial, IKIO Lighting and Flair Writing Indust hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
