Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.72%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of Swan Energy Ltd.(up 2.29 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 2.1 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 1.79 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 1.49 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.7 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.57 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.72 per cent up at 917.1.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 355.96 points at 22338.75, while the BSE Sensex stood up 1245.05 points at 73745.35.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 ended in the green, while 13 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SAIL, Tata Steel and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Rico Auto, Kalyani Steels, Windlas Biotech, The Hi-Tech Gears and Yuken India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while GPT Healthcare, Stampede Cap(DVR), Digidrive Distributo, KRBL and Star Health hit their fresh 52-week lows.
