Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.69% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:39AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.

Godrej Properties(up 2.35 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 1.22 per cent), DLF(up 0.87 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.52 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(up 0.42 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 1.21 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.73 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was up 0.69 per cent at 446.8 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 34.45 points at 17188.3, while the BSE Sensex was down 117.01 points at 57478.67.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.

Shares of Adani Power, IDFC First Bank, Vodafone Idea, L&T Fin Holding and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Inox Leisure, Krishana Phoschem, VIP Ind., CreditAccess Grameen and SEL Manufact hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Felix Industries, Akash Infra-Proj, Future Enterprises, GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd. and Ganga Forging hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
