Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.68%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.
Shares of Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.98 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 1.84 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 1.6 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 1.09 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 1.09 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 3.03 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.68 per cent up at 770.1.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 213.4 points at 21654.75, while the BSE Sensex stood up 701.63 points at 72038.43.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 ended in the green, while 10 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SAIL, Reliance Power and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Wonder Fibromats, Global Vectra, Keerti Knowledge, AksharChem Ltd and VL E-Governance & IT hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Motisons Jewellers, Bajel Projects, Akshar Spintex, Raj Rayon and Muthoot Microfin hit their fresh 52-week lows.
