Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.61% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:50AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.

Prestige Estates Projects(up 5.54 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 4.92 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 1.52 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.78 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 0.54 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Phoenix Mills(down 2.09 per cent) and Godrej Properties(down 0.82 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was up 0.61 per cent at 519.25 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 69.85 points at 18238.25, while the BSE Sensex was down 203.34 points at 61105.57.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, JP Power and Alok Industries were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Khandwala Sec, D K Enterprises Global Ltd., Khaitan Chem, Precision Wires and Moksh Ornaments Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Dilip Buildcon, IGL and Spandana Sphoorty hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
