Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.58%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Thursday.
Shares of Phoenix Mills(up 5.39 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 1.57 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 0.77 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 2.92 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.71 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 1.18 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 0.55 per cent) and DLF(down 0.1 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.58 per cent up at 441.7.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 30.15 points at 18052.7, while the BSE Sensex stood down 69.68 points at 60836.41.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 23 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, PNB, UCO Bank, IDFC First Bank and Bank of India were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Mahalaxmi Rub, Mas Fin Services, Murudeshwar Cera, Rites and Unichem Labs hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Manali Petro, Cyber Media Research & Services Ltd., Rel Capital, Williamson Magor and Jai Balaji Inds hit their fresh 52-week lows.
