Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.56%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of Phoenix Mills(up 2.31 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 2.28 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.82 per cent), DLF(up 1.08 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 0.47 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, SOBHA(down 1.74 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 1.23 per cent) and Godrej Properties(down 0.35 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.56 per cent up at 445.1.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 149.95 points at 18065.0, while the BSE Sensex stood up 463.06 points at 61112.44.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 ended in the green, while 9 closed in the red.
Shares of Zomato Ltd., Rail Vikas Nigam, Vodafone Idea, Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd. and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Pondy Oxides, Aarti Surfactants(PP), Vertexplus Technolo, Ethos Ltd. and Shree Vasu Logistics hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while MMTC, Compuage Infocom, Brightcom Group, Parin Furniture and Creative Peripherals hit their fresh 52-week lows.
