Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.55%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Thursday.
Shares of Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 3.9 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 2.02 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 1.88 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(up 1.25 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 2.59 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.75 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 1.07 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.55 per cent up at 900.65.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 203.25 points at 22326.9, while the BSE Sensex stood up 655.04 points at 73651.35.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 ended in the green, while 7 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, IDFC First Bank, YES Bank, NHPC and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Onelife Capital, IFB Industries, Dynacons Sys, Wonderla Holidays and Century Texttiles hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SITI Networks, Camlin Fine Sc, Dwarikesh Sugar, Nureca Ltd and Sintex Plastics Tech hit their fresh 52-week lows.
