Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.48%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate(up 2.87 per cent), DLF(up 1.47 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 1.29 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 1.26 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(up 0.41 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects(down 3.71 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 1.57 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.48 per cent up at 387.85.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 182.3 points at 16352.45, while the BSE Sensex stood up 632.13 points at 54884.66.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 ended in the green, while 13 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, ONGC, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Accuracy Shipping, Medico Remedies, Empyrean Cashews Ltd., Kohinoor Foods and Standard Ind hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Piramal Ent., Indo Nat Ltd, Debock Sales & Mktg, Birla Tyres and Future Retail hit their fresh 52-week lows.
