Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.44% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:09AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.

Godrej Properties(up 2.2 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 1.43 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(up 1.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.92 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 1.07 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 0.78 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.36 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was up 0.44 per cent at 452.75 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 31.45 points at 17255.6, while the BSE Sensex was down 137.01 points at 57726.92.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, NALCO, SAIL and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Selan Expl Tech, TTK Healthcare, Jindal Drilling, Shoppers Stop and Balrampur Chini hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Akash Infra-Proj, JMT Auto, Future Retail, FutureLifestyleFash and Innovative Tyres & T hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
