Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.36%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Thursday.
Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 5.03 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 3.12 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(up 0.61 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 0.48 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 0.22 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.03 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 0.66 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.6 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.04 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.36 per cent up at 734.8.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 36.55 points at 20901.15, while the BSE Sensex stood down 132.04 points at 69521.69.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 24 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Reliance Power, Vodafone Idea, Tata Power and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Nagreeka Export, Aakash Exploration, Windsor Machine, Vertoz Advertising and Sandur Manganese hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while APM Finvest, Raj Rayon, Flair Writing Indust, Winsome Yarns and SEL Manufact hit their fresh 52-week lows.
