Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.33%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.
Shares of Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 2.18 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 1.3 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.9 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 0.05 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.03 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 2.39 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 2.25 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(down 2.09 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.33 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.3 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.33 per cent up at 1113.85.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 162.66 points at 24286.5, while the BSE Sensex stood up 545.35 points at 79986.8.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 ended in the green, while 12 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Indian Renewable, Castrol India, YES Bank and MMTC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Kingfa Science Tech, Country Club, SRG Housing Fin, D-Link(India)and G M Breweries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Future Supply Chain, Hilton Metal, Sarthak Metals, GIR Natureview and BDR Buildcon hit their fresh 52-week lows.
