Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.3%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of DLF Ltd.(up 1.65 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 1.61 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 1.47 per cent) and Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 1.3 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.5 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.0 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.79 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.42 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.3 per cent up at 1047.3.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 104.21 points at 24854.05, while the BSE Sensex stood up 218.14 points at 81224.75.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 ended in the green, while 18 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Zomato, Manappuram Finance, JP Power and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of SIL Investments, Nalwa Sons Invst, Pennar Ind, Motilal Oswal and Vishnu Prakash R Punglia hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Akshar Spintex, SecUR Credentials, Fusion Micro Finance, HEG and Keerti Knowledge hit their fresh 52-week lows.
