Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.29%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Thursday.
Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 7.22 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 6.48 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 2.14 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(up 0.62 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.4 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 2.68 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.37 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 0.14 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.13 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.02 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.29 per cent up at 569.95.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 109.65 points at 19545.75, while the BSE Sensex stood up 405.53 points at 65631.57.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 ended in the green, while 18 closed in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, Vodafone Idea, JP Power, Zomato and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of SoftTech Engineers, Murudeshwar Cera, Goodluck India, Utkarsh Small Financ and ENIL hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Baid Leasing, Shree Ram Proteins, Navin Fluorine, McNally Bharat and Winsome Yarns hit their fresh 52-week lows.
