Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.29% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 11:05AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.

Phoenix Mills(up 3.76 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 1.87 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 0.37 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.12 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Oberoi Realty(down 0.83 per cent), DLF(down 0.8 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.59 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.31 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was up 0.29 per cent at 446.0 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 118.25 points at 16950.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 379.75 points at 56596.24.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Zomato Ltd., MRPL and IDFC First Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Gallantt Ispat, GSS Infotech, Swaraj Suiting Ltd., Sumitomo Chemical and Cupid Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Zomato Ltd., Future Retail, Karda Const, Zee Learn and Future Enterprises (DVR)hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
