Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.28%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.
Shares of Prestige Estates Projects(up 4.14 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 3.55 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 2.18 per cent), SOBHA(up 0.84 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 0.64 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 4.39 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 2.16 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 0.29 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.16 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.28 per cent up at 522.15.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 39.75 points at 18755.9, while the BSE Sensex stood up 85.35 points at 63228.51.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 ended in the green, while 21 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, YES Bank and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of GKW Ltd, Uma Exports, Baid Leasing, Steel Strips and Signet Ind hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while D P Abhushan, GHCL Textiles, Rachana Infrastructu, Infollion Research and Suumaya Lifestyle hit their fresh 52-week lows.
