Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.28% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 11:16AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.

Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 2.17 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.89 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 1.15 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 1.05 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 0.68 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 1.81 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.15 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.11 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was up 0.28 per cent at 443.85 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 35.2 points at 17950.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 81.05 points at 60730.43.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.

Shares of Rail Vikas Nigam, Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., Vodafone Idea, YES Bank and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Shree Vasu Logistics, Pondy Oxides, Ethos Ltd., Vertexplus Technolo and Aarti Surfactants(PP)hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Compuage Infocom, Brightcom Group, Parin Furniture, BEML Land Assets and Creative Peripherals hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
