Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.25%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.
Shares of Macrotech Developers(up 2.41 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 0.57 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.56 per cent), DLF(up 0.23 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 0.13 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Brigade Enterprises(down 0.81 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 0.75 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.35 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.25 per cent up at 438.8.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 23.05 points at 18267.25, while the BSE Sensex stood up 91.62 points at 61510.58.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 ended in the green, while 25 closed in the red.
Shares of PNB, Suzlon Energy, Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., Easy Trip Planners Ltd. and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Welspun Invst, Vascon Engineer, Orient Refractories, Rashtriya Chemicals and Cool Caps Industries Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while JBF Industries, Inox Green Energy Services Ltd., Olectra Greentech, Mega Flex Plastics Ltd. and PayTM hit their fresh 52-week lows.
