Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.16%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Tuesday.
Shares of Anant Raj Ltd.(up 4.05 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 2.69 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 0.55 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 0.18 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.01 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent), Raymond Ltd.(down 0.27 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.2 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.1 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.16 per cent up at 1014.25.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 72.45 points at 25044.35, while the BSE Sensex stood up 158.32 points at 82055.11.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 ended in the green, while 17 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, RattanIndia Power, YES Bank, NTPC and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Shree Global, India Glycols, Indosolar Ltd, Sumeet Ind and Niraj Ispat Ind. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Osia Hyper Retail, Lasa Supergenerics, Sadhana Nitro, Aditya Birla Lifesty and Gensol Engg hit their fresh 52-week lows.
