Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.16%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Monday.
Shares of Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 2.08 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 1.27 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 1.14 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(up 0.96 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 2.75 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.56 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.92 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.14 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.5 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.16 per cent up at 927.45.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 27.2 points at 22405.6, while the BSE Sensex stood up 66.14 points at 73872.29.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 ended in the green, while 26 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, YES Bank, SAIL and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Ganges Securities, SIL Investments, Wealth First Port, GP Petroleums and DCM Nouvelle hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Lotus Eye Hosp, GPT Healthcare, Digidrive Distributo, Nandani Creation and Indiabulls Intgrtd hit their fresh 52-week lows.
