Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.14%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Thursday.

Shares of Prestige Estates Projects(up 1.08 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 1.0 per cent), SOBHA(up 0.76 per cent), Sunteck Realty(up 0.6 per cent) and DLF(up 0.35 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Godrej Properties(down 1.33 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 0.14 per cent up at 427.75.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 68.5 points at 18191.0, while the BSE Sensex stood up 223.6 points at 61133.88.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 ended in the green, while 18 closed in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, IOB, PNB, Suzlon Energy and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Uma Converter Ltd., Arihant Academy Ltd., HEC Infra Projects, Sandesh Ltd and Swastik Pipe Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Shaily Engg Pla, Kavveri Telecom, Sintex Inds., Godha Cabcon & Insul and Abans Holdings Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
