Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.14% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:09AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.

DLF(up 1.64 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 1.19 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 0.26 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.1 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 0.02 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Phoenix Mills(down 2.5 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 1.48 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.39 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was up 0.14 per cent at 496.2 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 71.3 points at 17708.7, while the BSE Sensex was down 276.7 points at 59281.63.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy, PNB and TV18 Broadcast were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Garware Poly, Shivalik Bimetal, MMP Industries, Ganga Forging and TV18 Broadcast hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Precision Metaliks Ltd., Dynamic Services & Security Ltd., Mallcom(India)and DC Infotech hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
