Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.12% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:40AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.

Godrej Properties(up 1.6 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.4 per cent), EMBASSY(up 0.36 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 0.31 per cent) and Brookfield India Real Estate Trust(up 0.19 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Brigade Enterprises(down 2.78 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.35 per cent), Mindspace Business Park REIT(down 1.17 per cent) and DLF(down 0.02 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was up 0.12 per cent at 530.55 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 45.6 points at 17900.35, while the BSE Sensex was down 158.99 points at 59976.79.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Power, Tata Motors, Suzlon Energy and Trident Ltd were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Pasupati Acrylon, Hindprakash Industri, Times Guaranty, Maharashtra Seam. and Hindustan Motor hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd., Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd. and Servotech Power Syst hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
