Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.1%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 3.35 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 1.75 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 1.52 per cent) and Raymond Ltd.(up 0.23 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 2.37 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.85 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.37 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.77 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.1 per cent up at 917.7.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 43.4 points at 23559.95, while the BSE Sensex stood down 197.97 points at 77860.19.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 ended in the green, while 23 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Steel, ITC Hotels and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Pansari Developers, Aarti Pharmalabs, Nxt-Infra Trust, Nandani Creation and Wonder Fibromats hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Carraro India L, Sonata Software, Brainbees Solutions, Rajesh Exports and Rossell Techsys hit their fresh 52-week lows.
