Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.1%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Thursday.
Shares of Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 2.07 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 1.18 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.83 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 0.61 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(up 0.4 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.79 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 0.96 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 0.77 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.66 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.3 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.1 per cent up at 1131.3.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 211.9 points at 26216.05, while the BSE Sensex stood up 666.25 points at 85836.12.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 44 ended in the green, while 6 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, Tata Steel, Bajaj Housing Fin and Prism Johnson were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Zee Media Corp, Mukta Arts, Sree Rayalaseema, Refex Industries and Gopal Snacks hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Stampede Cap, Future Supply Chain, Rossell India, Orient Technologies and ESAF Small Finance hit their fresh 52-week lows.
