Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.03%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate(up 4.3 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 0.47 per cent), DLF(up 0.41 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 0.05 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Brigade Enterprises(down 1.46 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 1.16 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.63 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.32 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.03 per cent up at 485.8.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 66.8 points at 17812.7, while the BSE Sensex stood up 142.81 points at 59744.65.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 ended in the green, while 18 closed in the red.
Shares of JP Power, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, GMR Infra and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Vardhman Hold, AYM Syntex, OM Metal Infra, Dollar Industries and Salzer Electro hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vivo Collaboration Solutions Ltd., Foce India Ltd., PayTM, Lumax Ind and Dynamic Services & Security Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
