Stock market update: Nifty Realty index 2.9%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a note on Friday.

Shares of ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 4.51 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 4.09 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 3.87 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 3.5 per cent) and Sunteck Realty Ltd.(down 3.3 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 2.9 per cent at 967.65.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 51.15 points at 24148.2, while the BSE Sensex stood 55.47 points at 79486.32.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 ended in the green, while 27 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, ITI Ltd, Suzlon Energy, Tata Steel and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of JSW Holdings, Tera Software, Avalon Technologies, Adroit Infotech and Innova Captab hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Aarti Inds, Satin Creditcare, Ceigall India, Brainbees Solutions and Aditya Vision hit their fresh 52-week lows.
