Stock market update: Nifty Realty index 2.77%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a note on Friday.

Shares of Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 1.36 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 5.26 per cent), Raymond Ltd.(down 4.43 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 4.39 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 3.66 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 3.52 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 2.77 per cent at 963.30.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 95.0 points at 23431.5, while the BSE Sensex stood 241.3 points at 77378.91.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 ended in the green, while 36 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, Zomato and ITI Ltd were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Mazda Ltd, Atlas Cycles, IRIS Business Services, Indo Thai Sec and Power & Instrument hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while GTPL Hathway, Jai Corp, Dish TV India, Global Surfaces and Pritish Nandy hit their fresh 52-week lows.
