Stock market update: Nifty Realty index 2.18% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded around 10:54AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.
Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 4.03 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 3.53 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 3.46 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 2.4 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.81 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 0.95 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.8 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was 2.18 per cent at 996.60 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 145.55 points at 23495.45, while the BSE Sensex was 381.89 points at 77537.68.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, SJVN and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Ratnaveer Precision, Supriya Lifescience, Aaron Industries, Jagsonpal Pharm and Banco Products hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Astron Paper & Board, Honasa Consumer, Eurotex Ind, Adani Transmission and Revathi Equipment In hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
