Stock market update: Nifty Realty index 1.48%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a note on Tuesday.

Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 2.72 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 2.41 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 1.94 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 1.34 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Sunteck Realty Ltd.(down 0.28 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 1.48 per cent at 966.30.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 64.71 points at 23518.5, while the BSE Sensex stood 239.37 points at 77578.38.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 ended in the green, while 24 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Zee Ent. and GMR Infra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Aaron Industries, Jash Engineering, CarTrade Tech, PG Electroplast and Pearl Global hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Honasa Consumer, Hinduja Global, Marshall Machines, Jayaswal Neco and Kshitij Polyline hit their fresh 52-week lows.
