Stock market update: Nifty Realty index 1.43%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a note on Tuesday.
Shares of Raymond Ltd.(up 11.65 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 3.71 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 1.98 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 1.83 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 1.04 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Sobha Ltd.(down 1.83 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.48 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.43 per cent at 1092.35.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 8.96 points at 24610.05, while the BSE Sensex stood 1.59 points at 81510.05.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 ended in the green, while 29 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Trident Ltd, YES Bank, ITI Ltd and IRB Infra Dev. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Orient Press, Laxmi Goldorna House, Greaves Cotton, Gujarat Raffia and Kridhan Infra hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Rossell Techsys, Shyam Century Ferrous, WABCO India, Shrem InvIT and Suraksha Diagnostic hit their fresh 52-week lows.
