Stock market update: Nifty Realty index 0.93%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a note on Thursday.
Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 4.23 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 3.58 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.64 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 1.42 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.45 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 3.07 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 2.18 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.05 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.8 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.93 per cent at 975.30.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 168.6 points at 23349.9, while the BSE Sensex stood 422.59 points at 77155.79.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 ended in the green, while 35 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, GMR Infra, NALCO and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Kiri Industries, Artemis Medicare, Vijaya Diagnostic, Dynamic Cables and Jash Engineering hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Adani Transmission, Honasa Consumer, Loyal Textiles, Ace Integrated Solutions and Tips Films hit their fresh 52-week lows.
