NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a note on Friday.
Shares of Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 1.95 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.41 per cent), Raymond Ltd.(up 0.5 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 0.23 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 2.77 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 1.77 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 1.19 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 0.88 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 0.38 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.62 per cent at 1045.10.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 183.91 points at 24004.75, while the BSE Sensex stood 720.6 points at 79223.11.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 ended in the green, while 29 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Vishal Mega Mart, YES Bank, ITI Ltd and Bank of Maharashtra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of ITI Ltd, Avonmore Capital, Dev Information Tech, Deccan Cements and Lloyds Metals hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Spacenet Enterprise, Jai Corp, Aki India, Astral Poly Tech and Global Surfaces hit their fresh 52-week lows.
