NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a note on Wednesday.
Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 1.82 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.28 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 0.07 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 3.2 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.81 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.77 per cent), Raymond Ltd.(down 0.77 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.76 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.47 per cent at 1112.40.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 137.16 points at 24198.85, while the BSE Sensex stood 502.25 points at 80182.2.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 ended in the green, while 33 closed in the red.
Shares of Vishal Mega Mart, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy and Sai Life Science were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Bajaj Healthcare, Sambhaav Media, KFIN Technologies, Zinka Logistics Solu and Bharti Hexacom hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sanghi Ind, Universus Photo, Odigma Consultancy, Spandana Sphoorty and Ecos(India)Mobilit hit their fresh 52-week lows.
