Stock market update: Nifty Realty index 0.29% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded around 10:38AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.
Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 2.46 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 1.24 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 1.16 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.72 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(down 0.34 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 0.2 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was 0.29 per cent at 970.50 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 106.21 points at 24254.4, while the BSE Sensex was 309.21 points at 79795.53.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, ITI Ltd, YES Bank and SCI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Pix Trans, Summit Sec, Vardhman Hold, Agro Tech Foods and Tera Software hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Brand Concepts, Aarti Inds, Asian Paints, Affordable Robotic and Equitas Small Fin hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
