Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 1.12%
The Nifty Pharma index closed 1.12 per cent down at 13491.25.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Friday.
Shares of Natco Pharma(up 0.77 per cent), Gland Pharma(up 0.76 per cent) and Alkem Laboratories(up 0.34 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Biocon(down 5.32 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals(down 3.68 per cent), Cadila Healthcare(down 2.52 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(down 2.03 per cent) and Alembic Pharmaceuticals(down 2.01 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 1.12 per cent down at 13491.25.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 68.85 points at 17003.75, while the BSE Sensex stood down 190.97 points at 57124.31.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 ended in the green, while 39 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, PNB and L&T Fin Holding were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of DCM Shriram Ind, Euro Panel Products Ltd., Data Patterns(India)Ltd., Smartlink Holdings and PTL Enterprises hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Shriram Properties Ltd., Vikas Multicorp(PP), CarTrade Tech, SJS Enterprises Ltd. and Indigo Paints Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
